What happens when you take the dysfunctional family of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, cross it with the likes of THELMA AND LOUISE, and blend it together with issues of race, homicide, lots of masturbation, and high school blow jobs? You get DROOL, the outrageous yet sweet story of sexual emergence and familial love starring Laura Harring (of MULHOLLAND DRIVE) and Jill Marie Jones (from TV’s GIRLFRIENDS.)
The Fleece Family puts the D in Dysfunction. An abusive father, an angst-filled teenage daughter, and a bullied youngest son are doomed to a life of misery until they are befriended by their new neighbor, Imogen (Jones), a Kathy K. Cosmetic’s saleswoman who shows up toting lotions, purple eyeshadow, and new fantasies for Anora Fleece, the family matriarch (Harring). When Imogen and Anora are discovered in bed together, the dark comedy takes an even darker twist, and the family is faced with a whole new set of obstacles to overcome.
Narrated by Tabby, the teenage daughter of the Fleece family, DROOL follows the path of this familial makeover, as Tabby and her brother work their way from shock to anger, and eventually an acceptance of a new and improved family.
